6/20/2022 A Living God of Miracles (Elder Davis Byrge)

HEY EVERYONE!!! I love you all and hope you are doing well! I know i have been terrible about emailing lately. I am sorry haha! But we have seen some miraculous things and had some very special experiences, especially recently.  We started teaching this couple and the wife has a job that is very hard on her. She sees some tough things and it has gotten her down. So about 2 months ago she called some missionaries over that she saw walking down the street while she was visiting a friend and asked them to come by her house. Those 2 missionaries sent us her name and address. We went by and met her and her husband and they are such great people. We have been teaching them since that point. They have changed so much! It has been such a strong testament to me of the light that Jesus Christ provides in our lives as we turn to him. She went from never praying and knowing not much about God to praying every day, feeling God answer her prayers, reading in the Book of Mormon, and coming to church. We have done nothing special, the Lord is just truly preparing hearts to receive His restored Gospel. It has all been one huge miracle. They are getting baptized on Sunday. The most miraculous part is that generations will be blessed because of the courage and faith of these 2 individuals and because of the goodness and love of your Heavenly Father. I love the Lord and His gospel so much!! It's so easy to lose sight of how life changing it is the longer we are a part of it but it's moments like these that are so humbling and cause you to reflect on how good He has been in my life.  Me and my companion have been reflecting on how easy it is to get caught going through the motions in the gospel and especially in missionary work. We had a study on relying on the spirit and that day put an extra emphasis on relying totally on the spirit. My companion felt strongly that we needed to visit this lady who just recently told us she was not interested, but we knew we needed to. We went by and she was busy. We were about to leave but felt we needed to knock a few doors in that complex. No one answered. We were about to leave again when we saw a father with his 7 year old son around the corner of the last building in the complex. We went over there and they were so nice! He was so open and wants to learn so bad about our message. INCREDIBLE!!! He shows us time and time again how powerful He is and how we are truly nothing without Him. I'm so grateful for his patience with us. I share these because I felt strongly that someone on this email list needed to hear that MIRACLES ARE SO REAL!!! He will provide miracles in your life I promise!!
