12/14/2020 Love Wins (Elder Davis Byrge)

WASSUPPP YALL!! This week has been sooo good! To start off one of our homies got baptized like a month ago and we are super close with him and his wife who is still investigating. They're the nicest people if we were allowed they would have us over all day everyday! But anyways they have been having some struggles with him not being able to find a job and they got super stressed because they feel like they are gonna lose their faith. So I told them about my Dad and how it's during times like these that we really need to lean on Christ and that is when we strengthen our faith and I showed them this dope video because the spirit was telling me to and they were so touched. They said how that's exactly what they needed to hear because they always thought that white "mormons" had these perfect lives. It was so awesome because it made them so happy. We just had to explain to them that they need to stop beating themselves up. No one is perfect! But that's okay because we have Christ!! And then I was able to give the wife a blessing and it was my first blessing in Spanish and oh man it was such a testimony builder! The gift of tongues is soooo real and so is the power of the priesthood!    Anyways this week we did "faith week" within our companionship because we have been taken a beating. People dropping us left and right that seemed so promising. We got a little discouraged and then we were like what are we doing!! The savior is testing us right now and this is how we're gonna actt?? NO!! So we decided we were gonna do every little thing we could possibly think of to show our faith and we started making sacrifices for our Lord and did a lot of fasting and things like that and we saw so many miracles!! HE KNOWS!! Whatever you're going through God knows and he's always gotchu never forget!!   THIS GOSPEL IS AMAZING!! I can't put into words the difference Christ will make in our lives when we turn to him! And also everyone do LIGHT THE WORLD it's the coolest thing ever and a great way to be a light in this world to EVERYONE!! Also I don't have a lot of time right now but CHARITY is the answer!
